The official kits for the AFC Qatar Asian Cup 2023 have been unveiled.
The AFC unveiled the official ball of the Qatar Asian Cup on Tuesday at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the presence of AFC Secretary General Windsor John. The official ball is the ‘VORTEXAC 23’ produced by sports brand KELME.
The ball-centric design is similar to the Qatar Asian Cup emblem and is inspired by the emblem’s distinctive colors and shapes to represent the spirit of the tournament and Asian football. The AFC says the VORTEXAC 23, made by Kelmi, the official global sponsor of the AFC’s national teams, will deliver the highest level of performance, quality, durability and readiness on the pitch. The Asian Cup has utilized an AFC-sanctioned match ball since the 2004 AFC Asian Cup in China. The first Asian Cup Matchball was the Adidas Rotheiro, while the 2019 AFC UAE Asian Cup featured Molten’s Acentec. This is the first time the Kelmi will be the official ball of the tournament. Jürgen Klinsmann’s men will have to adapt to yet another change in the Asian Cup’s official ball if they want to win the title.
