‘Dizzy Dune’ Acuña JR, big injury X→MVP continues

Ronald Acuña Jr. (26, Atlanta Braves), who was hit by a dizzying sand dune during the game, continues his run as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Atlanta had a double header away game against the New York Mets at Citi Field located in New York, New York, USA on the 2nd (hereinafter Korean time).

On this day, Acuña Junior started as a right fielder once in the first game of the double header and led the team to victory with 3 hits, 1 RBI and 3 runs in 5 at-bats, including the 5th home run of the season.

Afterwards, Acuña Jr. started in right field once in the second game, but was hit in the left shoulder by a 93-mile (about 150 km) ball from New York Mets starter Tyler Megil in the first inning.

A dizzying moment when the ball could have headed for the head. Acuña Jr. was subsequently overhauled after being replaced with a bruise on his left shoulder.

An immediate X-ray examination revealed no fractures in the shoulder and back. As a result, it seems that there will be no long-term departure of Acuna Junior. It’s possible because it didn’t fit in my head.

Accordingly, Acuna Junior is expected to return soon. In other words, it was possible to continue the MVP movement by continuing the momentum of last April into May. ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Acuña Jr. is one of the strong National League MVP contenders. In 29 games so far, he recorded a batting average of 0.363, 5 home runs, 15 RBIs, 26 points, 41 hits, and an on-base percentage of 0.450 and an OPS of 1.034.

In particular, Acuña Junior ranks first in this category with 13 stolen bases, and is showing great improvement in the lineup, which has been pointed out as a weakness.

Atlanta is also at the top of the National League East division. Both individual and team performance are good. After winning the Rookie of the Year award, he got a chance to rise to the MVP in 5 seasons.
