‘Go Jong-wook Finisher + Kim Do-young Wedge’ Kia sweeps weekend 3-game series! 8th straight win + 4th place jump!

The Kia Tigers swept a three-game weekend series against the SSG Landers.

Kia won 8-6 against SSG on Wednesday at Landers Field in Incheon. Starter Lee Yi-ri was pulled early after giving up four runs in three innings, but the bullpen kept SSG’s offense to a minimum. Trailing 5-6 in the eighth inning, Kim Tae-gun’s tying RBI single, pinch-hitter Ko Jong-wook’s game-winning RBI single, and Kim Do-young’s RBI single in the ninth inning sealed the victory. With the win, KIA improves to 56-2-50 on the season and moves into a tie for fourth place with the NC Dinos (57-2-51), who lost to the Samsung Lions. SSG has lost four straight games.

KIA took the early lead. In the top of the first inning, Choi Hyung-woo singled to left-center field with runners on second and third to give KIA a 2-0 lead. SSG cut the deficit to one run in the bottom of the inning when leadoff hitter Choo Shin-soo hit a solo shot to left field.

The second inning was another back-and-forth affair. KIA widened the gap to 4-1 in the top of the second inning when Hwang Dae-in hit a two-run shot to left field with no outs. However, SSG tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the inning when Cho Hyung-woo hit a three-run shot to left field with runners on first and second.

While Kia activated its bullpen early in the fourth inning, SSG had a brief lull as Oh Won-seok pitched the third and fourth innings without allowing a run.

In the fifth inning, the game heated up again. Kia scored a run in the top of the fifth on back-to-back singles by Park Chan-ho and Kim Do-young to regain the lead, but SSG answered with a run in the bottom of the fifth as Choi Jung-jeong hit a two-run shot to left field off Kia’s Park Joon-pyo to tie the game at 6-5. 온라인바카라

In the top of the eighth inning, KIA started with a leadoff single by Kim Sun-bin and tied the game at 6-6 with back-to-back singles by Hwang Dae-in and Kim Tae-gun against SSG reliever Seo Jin-yong. With runners on first and second, Koh Jong-wook, who pinch-hit for Choi Won-joon, lined a single to left field to make it a 7-6 game.

KIA took an 8-6 lead in the top of the ninth inning when leadoff hitter Kim Do-young took advantage of a 148-kilometer fastball from SSG Iroon’s 1S at bat and smashed it over the right field fence. In the bottom of the ninth, closer Jung Hae-young pitched a clean inning to complete the eight-game winning streak.
