Korea’s March A match against Colombia, new manager’s debut

The first opponent for the A match in March has been decided as Colombia.

The Korea Football Association announced on the 6th that it will hold a friendly A match with the Colombian national team on March 24th. The venue and kickoff time have not yet been confirmed.

As a result, the match against Colombia is expected to be the debut match for the newly appointed coach of the Korean national team.

The opponent for the second match of the A-match, which will be held around March 28, is currently under discussion and will be decided among South American countries.

During this period, European and African countries have scheduled continental championship qualifiers, and most North and Central American countries play Nations League matches, so the Korea Football Association has been negotiating matches with South American countries.

Since the two friendly matches to be held in March will be held during the A-match period set by FIFA, even foreign players can be summoned.

Colombia ranked 17th in the FIFA rankings announced last December, 8 places higher than Korea, which is ranked 25th. In the South American qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar, it failed to advance to the finals by finishing in 6th place. 안전놀이터
