‘Last meeting 2-1 win’ Pohang opponent ‘on the rise’ Jeonbuk…’tongue-in-cheek’ aims for ‘revenge’

The Pohang Steelers welcome Jeonbuk Hyundai to their home turf. Both teams are in need of a win as they chase top spot and a spot in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League. Jeonbuk, who lost the last meeting, will be looking for redemption.

The Pohang Steelers and Jeonbuk Hyundai will meet in the 15th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Pohang Steelyard.

The hosts are in fourth place with 24 points (6 wins, 6 draws, 2 losses), while the visitors are in seventh place with 18 points (5 wins, 3 draws, 6 losses).

Pohang has been on a roll since the start of the season. They were unbeaten in nine consecutive matches (five wins and four draws) before losing 0-2 against Incheon United on April 30. The loss to Incheon was followed by a blowout away to Jeju and a draw with Daegu, leaving them winless in three games, but they bounced back with a 3-2 win over Daegu.

Although not a league game, their most recent FA Cup match was against Seongnam FC on October 24, which they won 3-0.

Pohang faced Jeonbuk in the fifth round, and despite being away from home, they came away with all three points thanks to an early goal from Baek Sung-dong and a late goal from Zeca. Jeonbuk fought back with an equalizer from Ryu Je-moon, but Pohang held on for the win.

Pohang has been strong at home this season with four wins, two draws, and one loss. 메이저사이트

Jeonbuk had a difficult start to the season with disappointing performances and results, but they have managed to turn things around. They drew with a tricky opponent, FC Seoul, on the fifth and then defeated Suwon Samseong 3-0. They drew 0-0 against Incheon, but followed that up with a 3-1 win against Suwon FC.

Most recently, they faced Paju Citizens Football Club in the FA Cup on April 24, winning 5-2. It’s worth noting that Cho Kyu-sung returned from injury and Gustavo found his stride in the FA Cup, scoring four goals on his own against Paju. However, it should be noted that the Paju win was a hard-fought victory in extra time.
