‘Three home runs + Peña’s 7-inning complete game’ Hanwha sweeps SSG 7-0, avenges previous day’s defeat

The Hanwha Eagles ended a two-game losing streak with a sweep of the SSG Landers.

Hanwha avenged a 7-9 loss the day before with a 7-0 sweep of SSG in their 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League home game at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on Monday. The win snapped a two-game losing streak and improved their season record to 33 wins, 4 draws, and 40 losses. SSG, on the other hand, improved to 46 wins, 1 loss and 31 draws.

Hanwha scored the first two runs in the top of the third inning against SSG starter Oh Won-seok. Lee Do-yoon led off with a walk and came home on Lee Jin-young’s double to right. Kim Tae-yeon followed with a single, advancing Lee to third and scoring on a sacrifice fly by Noh Si-hwan to make the score 2-0.

While the SSG batters were shut down by Felix Peña, Hanwha scored two more runs with two home runs. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Choi Jae-hoon led off with a solo home run off a 114 km/h curveball from Oh Won-seok that hit the left field foul pole. It was Choi’s first home run of the season.

In the bottom of the sixth, Chae Eun-sung took advantage of a 139 km/h slider from reliever Lee Roon for a solo home run over the center field fence. It was her 11th home run of the season, 21 days after hitting her 10th against Kiwoom in Daejeon last month. The score was 4-0. 해외안전놀이터 추천
